Lukla presents stunning himalayan views

Lukla

Destination Everest

Lukla is a town in the Khumbu region in eastern Nepal, more popularly known as ‘The Gateway to Mt. Everest’.

Most people visiting the Himalayas around Mt. Everest start their journey here. Somewhere between 90-95% of the foreign nationals who reach Lukla will arrive by a ½ hour flight from Kathmandu.

The remainder will mainly trek in from Jiri, about a seven to eight day adventure trek. A serene village nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, Lukla presents stunning Himalayan vistas and fleeting moments of inspiration. Lukla is definitely worth a visit, for both trekkers and travellers alike.
