Corporate Social Responsibility

As among the aviation industry leader we have a special social commitment which we take very seriously. Therefore we are engaged and active in supporting various social projects within the country. We take great pride in this charity as we like to work together for the benefits of the society. This belief is at the core of the Airlines mission and is therefore part of our regular practices as well as our programs and initiatives in our offices.

The credit also goes to all our passengers without whom our noble cause of helping society would not have been possible. As part of our Social responsibility, Yeti Airlines donates Nrs 4 per flight ticket to the following Four Social Organizations, involved in various social activities.

1. The United Mission to Nepal (UMN) seeks fullness of life for all Nepalese, and works towards this in partnership with Nepali organizations, addressing the root causes of poverty, pursuing for peace and justice for all, and empowering communities to meet their own needs. 

2. Save the Children is the world’s largest independent organization fighting for children’s right to education, participation, survival and development.

3. Red Cross:  NRCS, since its inception in 1963, it has been working with a mission to relieve human suffering and to reduce volnerability through community participation and mobilization of an increased number of volunteers, by expanding and strengthening the organizational structure of the society and by building links with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

4. Care Nepal: Since 2000, CARE Nepal has been working in partnership with local NGOs, networks, federations and community groups to address the underlying causes of poverty, conflict and vulnerability through the promotion of gender and social inclusion, rights based approach and social mobilization.

In respect to their noble cause, we contribute whatever we can from our side to support and encourage them to go that extra mile.

We also have presented various amount to social organizations e.g. Tewa, OCCED, Maiti Nepal, Nepl Leprosy Relief, Nepal Glaucoma Eye Clinic (Tilganga) and Sewa Kendra Leprosy, Helpless Children Welfare Mission, Itahari, Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre, Sangha, Women for Human Rights, Kathmandu, CWIN Nepal and CVICT  since its initiation in October 2006.

We also provide special discounts to disabled people (50%), Senior Citizens (25%).

We have also launched the “ Green Far West Project “ In the Far West Region like Kailali District, Doti, Rajpur and Kanchapur.For every passenger that flies with us on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi or Dhangadhi-Kathmandu route we will plant an appropriate tree sapling in one of the chosen community forests in the Far-Western region of Nepal.

Hence if you fly on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi or Kathmandu-Nepalgunji sector we will plant one tree on your behalf. If you take a return flight than we will plant two tree saplings on your behalf. All passengers are welcome to visit any of the community forest sites where the tree saplings will be planted and cared for. Yeti Airlines will be contributing Rs. 20 /- for one way ticket and Rs. 40/- for a round trip ticket for Kathmandu-Dhangadhi-Kathmandu or Kathmandu-Nepalgunj-Kathmandu sector only.

We are also strong believers in our responsibility towards our society and our role in nation building. Yeti Airlines’ biggest socio-economic contribution is the accessibility it provides to various mountain areas like Bajhang, Simikot, Rukum, Dolpa, Bajura. Jumla, Phaplu, Lukla, Rumjhatar and other remote destinations.

Yeti Airlines is the only means of transportation facility to some of the remotest regions. Promoting tourism and more importantly, providing rescue missions; for sick people in need of emergency medical care and preventing starvation by ferrying foodstuff and world-aid; are sorties we are fortunate to help with.

We have maintained the only reliable mode of transportation to and from the mountain regions of Nepal. Yeti Airlines also provides special leverages to physically challenged persons.
