Kathmandu-Pokhara Flight with Yeti Airlines
Yeti Airlines operates daily flights to Pokhara
making it conveniently accessible from Kathmandu. The flight to Pokhara with Yeti Airlines leaves from the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport (TIA). The airport is just 20-25 minutes drive away from the major tourist hotels and lodges in Kathmandu, (Thamel, Durbar Marg, Jawlakhel, Lazimpat, Maharajgung, Boudha). However you are advised to buy some good time to leave for airport to avoid any delays because of heavy traffic. Yeti Airlines flies at an altitude of 12,500 ft while on the return journey to Kathmandu it maintains an altitude of 11,500ft. The flight time in either direction is just 25 minutes.
Pokhara also known as the city of Lakes and is an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley surrounded with the Beauty of the Annapurna Range with three out of the ten highest mountains in the world - Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu - a paradise for nature lovers. It is 200 km towards the west of Kathmandu city and 827 meter above the sea level. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit through the ACAP region.
The city abundance in Lake embraces the shadow of snowcapped mountains, overlooking beautiful local villages. It is the home for God residing Caves, Temples and Pagodas. On the adventurous side activities such as paragliding, zip flyer, ultra-light and mountain biking all day creates a perfect stamina to hop into your favorite Restaurant and Bar in the evening to solely sip hot mug of coffee or a large mug of Beer and listen to live music.
Passengers may carry 25kg as normal luggage and a carry-on bag of 5kg as hand carry. Excess baggage will be charged at the rate of Rs 95 per kg. Flights can be booked online. All passengers must present their passport (for foreigners) and citizenship or driving license (for Nepali citizens) at the check-in counter. The plane has a seating capacity of 29/30 persons and is equipped with toilet facilities.
Children below the age of 2 are charged a minimum 10% of the normal fare based on the Normal Fare for Nepalis and Indians or US $ Fare for foreign clients.
Passengers are required to arrive at the Domestic Section of the TIA a good hour before Departure time. A flight booking can be cancelled via email request. And in case of delays due to unavoidable circumstances/situations clients who have booked online will be informed by email. But last minute delays due to weather conditions will be known only at the airport.
There will be a charge of 10% for cancellations made one day prior to departure date on the NORMAL FARE/ USD and Residential Fare. Cancellations made on the same day, 3 hours before departure time are subject to a 33.33 charge while a NO SHOW merits No Refund.
For YELLOW FARE, a cancellation fee of 33/33% is charged if cancelled Before One Day. For cancellations made on the Same Day but 3 hours before departure time a 50% cancellation charge is deducted. For NO SHOW there is NO REFUND.
In case of GREEN FARE, a cancellation made Before One Day receives only FSC Refund. Same Day before 3 hours there is NO REFUND. Likewise, for a NO SHOW there is NO REFUND. For online, the refund payment process takes a week to 15 days from the day of cancellation notice received by the Airline.
On a clear day, soon after take-off, passengers on this flight enjoy superb views of the Himalayas. Besides other snow-covered peaks like Langtang and Dhaulagiri, the spectacular Annapurna range of mountains comes into view.
There are no ‘early bird’ or ‘last booking’ discounts on offer.
A small bag or laptop bag is considered a hand carry bag but should not exceed 5kg.
Flights may be cancelled due to bad weather at the last minute or due to unavoidable circumstances. In such instances the passengers will be pre-informed by the airline.

Pre-paid taxi service is available from Pokhara Airport which is 3 Km from the city. Lakeside, the main location for most of the activities is only 4 KM away from Pokhara Airport.
Pokhara is 200km away from Kathmandu and can be reached in 6 hours by road. One can travel by tourist buses or hire a private car for the journey. The vehicles available are Tourist Coach or Micro Van. Offering a combined service with our sister airline Tara Air, Yeti Airlines provides connecting flights to Jomsom from Pokhara and back.
During Peak Season there are 8 to 10 daily flights to Pokhara and 5 to 6 daily flights during the Off Season depending on the immediate demand.
